Persistence Therapeutic Services, PLLC is owned and operated by Ali (Alyssa) Waldmer, MS, LAC, LMFT. Ali has over 10 years of experience as a therapist, and is currently practicing in Colorado. Ali is dually licensed in Colorado as an addiction counselor and marriage and family therapist. Ali has training and experience in sex therapy, and is currently under supervision to become an AAMFT approved supervisor.
Through Persistence Therapeutic Services, PLLC Ali provides clinical supervision and consultation services. In the State of Colorado Ali is able to supervise clinicians pursuing designation as licensed professional counselors (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT), and licensed addiction counselors (LAC).
Background in Industry
Ali has a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from St. Xavier University, a master’s degree in addiction studies from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School, and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Capella University. Ali received a certificate in sex therapy from The Colorado School for Family Therapy. Ali has received training in clinical supervision, and is currently under supervision to become an AAMFT approved supervisor.
Ali has been a practicing therapist for over 10 years. Ali has experience working with diverse clients within diverse systems, including working within the legal system, practicing at inpatient and outpatient levels of care, and working within various systems such as government agencies, community mental health, nonprofit organizations, and group private practice.
Ali applies a systemic lens, and a trauma-informed strength-based approach to her work with supervisees, clients, and within consultations.
